Cyan Rain
Tawny skies, fond goodbyes
Memories, of better times
Desperate, to escape the pain
But no redemption,
No chance to make me whole again.
I can’t forget your cyan eyes.
Deep, like the sea
Beyond the craggy isles
Off the gentle ledge
I am drowning,
Plumbing the fathoms,
Sinking like a stone,
But then I’m crashing back to earth.
Dreams dismembered,
Asphyxiating me,
I knot myself in tangles,
Cannot break free
You’re all I have, my love
Please don’t leave me.
Melancholy existence,
That makes my heart bleed
A sudden light, breaks out,
Fills me with, delight
All may not be, lost
There’s always a second chance,
A way to start over
A realization
An unexpected release
Strength to continue
Coursing through my veins
A metamorphosis
That saved me from death.
